Everyone, if they are fortunate, will reach the somewhat dubious milestone in their life of rounding the corner on the second half of a century. Mine came in November.
My sweet, darling, loveable
sister, Linda, just HAD to commemorate the momentous occasion with a surprise
birthday party at the local Ponderosa Restaurant in Henderson. My
equally sweet, adorable wife, Lois, felt compelled to help her arrange
a surprising - and unforgetable - evening.
I'm not sure whose idea the sign was. They told me, but I forgot. | ![]() |

My latest birthday cake included a picture of me eating my 1st birthday cake. (The photo is made from cake icing by a computer-controlled cake decorator -- they didn't have those things 50 years ago -- Why, I remember when.......) |
Here's my 'party people' -- Family and friends from Work
and Church:
(left to right) - Mike Evans, Maggie Evans (from Church), Paul Stone, Donna Stone (from work), my dear Sister, Linda (seated), ME, my dear wife, Lois, Sandy Arn (Church), my Dad, Edward, Jeff Arn (Church), Michelle and Gary Johnson (Church), my Mother, Beulah, and my cousin, Geraldine. |
