HEROD, Ill. -- Beulah McGan, 81, Herod, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.

She was a Protestant and attended Buena Vista Community Church and Good Hope General Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. Shewmaker and Sadie (Hicks) Shewmaker; sisters, Robbie Owen, Ruby Smith and Vera Shewmaker; and one brother, James Shewmaker.

Survivors include her husband, Edward McGan of Herod; one daughter, Linda McGan of Herod; one son, David McGan of Corydon; one sister, Marie Bryan of Harrisburg, Ill.; and two nieces, Wanda Raley and Geraldine Ewell of Harrisburg.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare, Ill. Friends may call between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. G.E. Coultas will officiate.

Burial will be in Lavender Cemetery in Herod.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or the Buena Vista Community Church building fund in Harrisburg, Ill., and the Good Hope General Baptist Church of Herod.

Edward C. McGan, 81, of rural Route 1, Herod, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare with the Rev. G. E. Coultas and the Rev. Steve Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Lavender Cemetery in Herod. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at the funeral home.

He was of the Protestant faith, attending Buena Vista Community Church of Harrisburg and Good Hope General Baptist Church of Herod.

He is survived by a son, David McGan of Corydon, Ky.; a daughter, Linda McGan of Herod; a sister, Rosalee Griffin of Henderson, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Isaac and Prudie (Powell) McGan; his wife, Beulah McGan on Dec. 6, 2005; and two brothers, James and Herman McGan.

The family has asked, in lieu of flowers, to please give donations to the Hospital Auxiliary of Rosiclare, the Buena Vista Community Church building fund in Harrisburg or the Good Hope General Baptist Church of Herod.
